A lovely cafe run by volunteers, plus theres always a free art exhibition on upstairs along with regular cinema nights, comedy nights, live music & lots of other events.

The Roaches, Hen cloud, Black rock & loads more climbs are all very close by. You may even be able to borrow a copy of Staffordshire grit if you ask nicely.

Blake Hall fisheries is the closest places to try for a big catch - they also serve a great breakfast!

Stoke skate plaza:
Arguably, the largest and most original skateplaza in Europe (34000 square feet!) it has everything, great for anyone who wants to skate or ride concrete.

Beaver hall, Tissington trekking centre and Poplars farm are the closest riding stables.
Carsington water:
Lots to do at this reservoir: take windsurfing or kayaking lessons, go fishing, hire a rowing boat, hire a bike or just go for a stroll then take a break at the visitors centre and cafe.

The local leisure centre, less than 15 mins drive. Lots to do here with a 33m swimming pool, 56 station gym, sports hall and 2 squash courts.

Hetty's Tea Shop: This cafe is based in a lovely heritage building on the edge of the canal. After a tasty homemade snack you can enjoy a stroll along the waters edge or even a boat ride. ST10 2HJ
The Yew Tree: A real unusual real ale pub. Pork pies, pickled eggs, polyphony, a pianola and penny farthings can all be found here! Theres often live music or vintage motorbike/car meets - check their website! ST10 3EJ
The Ramblers retreat: This little cafe is nestled amongst the trees at dimmingsdale. Beautiful food & beautiful views; the perfect place to relax after a woodland lake walk. ST10 4BU
